Dogukan Isik

Dogukan Isik was born on 28 August, 1997, in Istanbul, Turkiye. At the age of 18, having grown up influenced by the architectural wonders of the region and inspired by his father and various prominent figures in the field, he moved to UK to pursue a career in architecture at the University of Newcastle. There, one of his projects focused on creating ambiance through the use of buildings. However, he discovered that ambiance, when projected through the energy of human beings, and the cosmic attraction between nature and living creatures, became a powerful instrument for reflecting his passion. 

After realizing the limitations  this field had on expressing his subtle perspective, he decided to transfer to York University, in Toronto, Canada to continue his education in Film Production. After graduating in 2023, he worked as a director, cinematographer, editor, sound designer and production manager in short films. With the limitless opportunities provided by the medium of cinema and film, Dogukan Isik conveys his passion through the concepts of synchronicity, cosmic awareness, and the energy field, and instruments of the film-making such as cinematography, sound and montage.
